Sacroiliac Joint Pain: Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment During/After Pregnancy

Sacroiliac Joint Pain (SIJ) is pain that occurs in the sacroiliac joint, which connects the sacrum (the triangular bone at the bottom of your spine) to the iliac bone on each side of the pelvis. It is one of the most common types of back pain during/after pregnancy. Sacroiliac joint pain during pregnancy might occur when there is an increase in the weight of the uterus creating pressure on your SI joint.

Prolotherapy is a treatment option for sacroiliac joint pain with four to six sessions. Sometimes Prolotherapy is combined with other treatment options such as Platelet-rich plasma infiltration. All the treatments are done under the strict image guidance.
